Tonight was the Rex Players last rehearsal before Christmas so we were going to have a party after going through all the acts.  I made a penguin cake for everyone.

Family - Starlight Express

Starlight Express

Today mum and I got the train to Southampton to meet up with My Brother, Sister-in-Law and my Niece.  We were all going to see the Matinee performance of Starlight Express.  It is one of my all time favourite musicals.  Isobel was excited to see it and really enjoyed it.

Music - New Clarinet :o)

New Clarinet :o)

Today mum and I went on an adventure to Portishead to look at and have a play on a wooden clarinet that I was interested in.  After about an hour and a half of trying the clarinet with different mouth pieces and reeds I made the decision that it was what I wanted.  I look forward to playing it.

Day Out - Glastonbury Carnival

Glastonbury Carnival

After our caving trip Paul went on home while Tim, Matt and I headed off to Street to get some dinner and to meet up with Tim's family for the carnival at Glastonbury.  It was a good evening, below are a selection of the photos I took.

Caving - Welsh's Green Swallet

Caving - Welsh's Green Swallet

Group of 4 - Tim, me, Paul and Matt

We went into Welsh's Green Swallet.  Once we found the entrance we rigged the pitch and abseiled into the cave.  After the entrance section we arrived into a small chamber with enough room for us to reorganise ourselves into a suitable order for rigging the next pitch.  The next section was a low hands and knees crawl in a streamway till we reached the ledge at the pitch head.  The stream tumbled straight over so we were going to get wet on our way down!!  Tim rigged the pitch and we abseiled down.  The next section was more crawling!  Still in the stream but now with a lot of glacial silt - otherwise known as mud!  We found our way to the first aven chamber, it was nice relief to stand up for a bit.  After attempting some photos we rejoined the streamway and continued to crawl.  The rest of the trip was crawling in water and sloppy mud. Tim and Matt went on a bit further and found the second aven chamber.  A nice trip, I would go back but not in a hurry!!!

Unfortunately none of the photos came out!!
