Handbells - Method

This evening Harry Blamire came over to have a go at ringing method on handbells.  We started by looking at the different patterns and then had a go at plain hunt.  We managed to get plain hunt going quite smoothly!  We also tried Bob Minor.  Myself on the trebles, Tim on 3-4 and Harry on the Tenors.  After a few goes we managed to get through a plain course.  We kept persevering and managed to get through it a few times with a few mistakes here and there!!

Today was my first outing marching with the Wessex Military Band.  It was Poole carnival - the route was down Ashley Road from Sea View down to Branksome rec.

Today Tim and I finally made it to the Own and Hawk Conservancy near Andover, after 2 failed attempts due to bad weather.  It was a great day.

Today was my first event playing out with the band. It was a good place to start as it was fairly relaxed and people were listening while shopping.  I am looking forward to the next event.

Handbells - Clapper Chaos Concert - Puddetown

Clapper Chaos were asked to play in a concert in Puddletown church.  It was to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the donation of handbells to the church.  About 6 months ago a group of people got together to make use of the church handbells.  They are now raising money to have their bells refurbished.
Today was the first opportunity for Fiona to play out with Clapper Chaos and it went well.
