Baking - Curly Wurly

Giant Curly Wurly

Today I started making the giant curly wurly to take with up to Shropshire. I measured a normal bar and got some card ready to make a mould. Two pieces of A3 card together were ideal to make one that would be 2 1/2 foot long. I made a tray mould and lined it with baking paper, next to make were the holes for the middle! After much fiddling around I finished the mould and I was ready to get going on the messy bit!

Caramel made it was time to put it into the mould and leave to cool down.

Caramel left to cool it was time to melt A LOT of chocolate for the top!!

Chololate cool it was time to get it out of the mould!!! Not an easy task!

Chocolate applied to the edges and underside of the Curly Wurly and left to dry again.

The completed Curly Wurly measuring 2 1/2 foot long!!!  The normal szed bar on the Left hand side contains 115 calories.  The giant bar on the left contains 7360 calories!!!
