Yorkshire/Shropshire Holiday
Day Three
We decided that we would still head up to the Yorkshire Subterranean Society Club Hut and see what we could find to do depending on the weather we had. It was raining as we left Cawthorne and still hasn't stopped!! We went via Skipton to get some waterproofs as we stupidly left them at home! We met another caver at the club and managed to get in and unload the car. The pub next door didn't open till 14:30 so we had to wait to sort out getting a key. We went out to do a bit of food shopping while waiting for the pub to open. We met another caver at the club so we spent a while chatting about where we were going to be able to cave given the rubbish weather!!
As Richard wasn't joining us we had a look at Dove's guide to find somewhere to ring the next few evenings. Tonight we went to Settle and ate in the Talbot Arms and then on to Gargrave to join their ringing practice.
Back at the caving club to warm up with a hot drink. Tomorrow we hope the weather to be no worse and we will plan something to do.
